The best way to celebrate Almost-Summer is to join Team GCNA at “It’s Your Park Day” on Saturday, June 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. This special day begins this year’s “Pitch In For The Parks” clean-up initiative. Volunteers will be on a monthly Saturday/Wednesday alternating schedule. Gold Coast Neighbors will join the Chicago Parks Foundation in kicking off the volunteer season by returning Lincoln Park to its original beauty by removing litter from the south end of Lincoln Park
.
This event provides a great opportunity for people to not only improve their neighborhoods and parks but also to reconnect with and meet their neighbors. Work gloves and trash pick-up bags will be provided for team members. All volunteers need to bring are willing hands, a desire to make our Lincoln Park beautiful again, and comfortable clothes that can get dirty.
