Illinois 12th District Forum

Because Gold Coast Neighbors Association knows you want information on the candidates before you vote for the new 12th District Representative in the March 17 primary and the November 3 general election, we are sponsoring a 12th District Forum. It will be held on Thursday, February 27, at 6:30 p.m. and will be hosted by the Ambassador Chicago Hotel. It will be held in their second-floor conference room.

43rd Ward Alderman Michele Smith will introduce the candidates. Each candidate will then introduce herself/himself to the Forum attendees. As the evening’s moderator, GCNA President Vern Broders will ask questions that have been submitted in advance by registered attendees of the forum. He will conclude the questioning with a Lightening Round. Event Chair and GCNA Board Member Amy Lemar will serve as the official timekeeper.

We look forward to a spirited—and enlightening—exchange of ideas as the candidates explain why voters should choose them to represent Illinois’ 12th District.
