Gold Coast Neighbors Association donated 5 trees to the City of Chicago.  GCN President, Maureen O'Brien, and a team of members headed to the South Side (5300 S. Western Avenue) and picked up shovels in an effort to support Chicago's "Green" initiative.


"What a wonderful gift that will last for generations," President O'Brien said.  "We donated five trees as GCN's way of giving back to our beautiful city."

An Individual or organization can purchase a tree for as low as $500.  The tree can be planted in Lincoln Park or any location the purchaser, the City, and the Chicago Park District agree upon.
