What you said...
Early summer 2006, a survey was e-mailed to 500 new and existing GCN members. We had a response rate of 35%. We hoped to learn about your priorities and what we might do differently to serve you better. We’re pleased to present the following summary of the survey results . . .
Your top three priorities are:
- Zoning issues
- Keeping abreast of current matters
- Having a collective voice for the neighborhood
We were glad to learn that you feel that these are the three areas that GCN addresses best. Many of you also voiced concerns about traffic and noise. It’s clear that you want the association to help you advocate for measures that retain the residential charm of our neighborhood.
Most respondents believe that our organization is well-known and does good things for the neighborhood. You indicate that GCN is open to your input and you want us to find more ways for you to become involved. Most people learned about GCN through word of mouth (please keep it up!). Many of you were not aware of our website, but those who know of it find the website generally useful. The most frequently requested new event is an architectural tour of the neighborhood.
