Public Meeting #3 Announcement
Help us continue to improve North Lake Shore Drive!
The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Chicago Department of Transportation invite you to attend the third public meeting concerning the improvement of U.S. 41 (North Lake Shore Drive) from Grand Avenue to Hollywood Avenue in Chicago.We thank you for your participation in one of the previous public meetings.
As you will recall, the first public meeting introduced the project, covered existing conditions, and solicited input regarding issues and concerns. Over 600 comments were received and reviewed following this meeting. The second public meeting presented an update on data collection along the Drive and encouraged you to provide ideas to Redefine the Drive through transportation workshops and online mapping tools. You provided over 1,500 ideas! We invite you to review the information from the past public meetings in preparation for the upcoming meeting at northlakeshoredrive.org/involved_meetings.html
Since the last public meeting, the project team has been evaluating your ideas for improving North Lake Shore Drive. The purpose of the meeting is to present a range of alternatives being considered and obtain public input.
The meeting will be held in an open house format from 3 to 7 p.m on July 12. Exhibits will be on display, and an audio-visual presentation will be shown continuously during the meeting. Project team members will be present to discuss the project and answer questions.
